Plymouth Social Enterprise Festival 2021

I always enjoying working with my friends at Plymouth Social Enterprise Network. This year, their annual festival is focusing on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals. My task was to create an illustration which focused on those goals and some of the notable Plymouth projects and organisations who are working to address them.

Taking inspiration from a 1993 painting "An Aerial View of Plymouth and Environs" by Dorothy Ward, I took a long landscape look at the city, from it's famous bay - The Sound - to the heights of Dartmoor in the distance. Within my illustration I used a colour palette taken directly from the sustainable development goals. I highlighted several Plymouth projects including a community-owned solar farm, Pollenize bee-keeping and a new electric ferry terminal.
